The Changemakers
On July 4th 2018, a new Cooperative was founded in Gevgelija, Macedonia—Changemakers4All—a visionary partnership between Macedonia and The Netherlands. I have proudly served as the Public Relations and Marketing Manager from day one and I am also one of the founding members behind this initiative.
Our mission is to inspire positive change in society by creating equal opportunities for all. We strive to build a future that protects the environment, respects human rights, and opens space for those who are often overlooked—guided by values rooted in humanity, inclusion, and awareness.
Ecology
Changemakers4All, the most recognized and active ecological NGO in the city. Known for its innovation and leadership, the organization was the first in the municipality to introduce creative and forward-thinking solutions for a cleaner and healthier environment. Changemakers4All organizes around ten ecological actions every year, bringing together volunteers, nature lovers, and supporters. Some of these events have gathered up to a hundred participants, making a visible and lasting impact both locally and beyond.
Humanitarian Actions
Changemakers4All, a driving force in the city’s humanitarian efforts, has actively participated in numerous aid campaigns and social support initiatives. Known for inspiring change, the organization set a new standard that motivated other NGOs—both existing and newly formed—to rethink and expand their engagement using modern, community-centered approaches. Through its leadership and commitment, Changemakers4All has made a significant and lasting impact in the field of humanitarian work, improving lives and strengthening solidarity across the region.
Donations
Changemakers4All, in collaboration with *Microdonia* from the Netherlands, stands as one of the most prominent donors in Gevgelija. The organization has provided valuable support to a wide range of institutions, including the General Hospital, all local schools, the fire station, the municipal center for people with disabilities, and several sports clubs. These donations have significantly improved infrastructure and services across the city, reflecting Changemakers4All’s deep commitment to community development and wellbeing.
Activism
Changemakers4All has been at the heart of impactful civic engagement in Gevgelija. From organizing a protest against rising electricity prices to distributing thousands of free masks during the early COVID-19 crisis, the organization responds quickly and effectively to public needs. Notable actions also include the March in Silence for the International Day of Cancer Patients and a cultural event where only persons with disabilities performed, marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Their flagship event, Gevgelija on Bicycle, gathers nearly 10% of the city’s population each year in a powerful celebration of community and sustainability.
